I really enjoyed this simple, amusing, and beautifully illustrated children's book. On each set of pages, the text and illustrations consist of multiple images of the moon -- "Luna, Luna, Luna..." -- and one image of something else, such as the sun "Sol". Most of the images rhyme with sol -- girasol, carasol -- but there's one surprise which is fun. The repetition of "luna", and to a lesser extent "sol", set up a sing-song rhythm that makes it recognizable for the very littlest ones, and the show more juxtaposition with the surprise word makes those stand out as well. Delightful. show less

Very versatile book. Nonsense combined with humor. A very good filler if you have a few minutes to plug. Would use with babies and up to 1st graders and even higher.

I tend to run through the book once showing the colors with the kids repeating after me and then do the full book with the kids more likely to join in.
