A friend who knows I've been reading up more on quantum physics gave me a copy of this book. The title and subtitle basically say it all. E-Squared by Pam Grout is a series of nine experiments anyone can do with minimal or no equipment to prove the quantum theory that thoughts create reality. Grout starts the book off with a layman's explanation of the quantum field, which she calls the field of unlimited potential, and how we can use it to manifest what we'd like. Grout's writing is show more entertaining and easy to read.

So how did I do? I attempted 5 of the experiments and I got results with all 5. Not all the results were what I expected with one being quite surprising. It was a lot of fun! I'm planning to try the experiments again sometime in the future.

This book is from the 90s and you can tell. However, it does have Grout's trademark wit and once you get past the Tony Robbins worship there's some great breathing exercises to try. I did find though that I was pushing too hard to make them work and what I really need are exercises that connect to natural breathing, which is referenced in the bibliography. There were two that interested me that are now out of print, but God bless the internet - I was able to find pdf copies of both and they show more are next on my list. I really appreciated the first part of the book, the reminder to really think about how I deep breathe. I was just expecting a little more. show less
If you want to have limitless prosperity and riches, Pam Grout believes you need to stay in gratitude. In fact, gratitude is the key to everything your heart desires – and this is the premise of her book, Thank & Grow Rich.

(Isn’t that a lovely play of words from Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill?)

Thank & Grow Rich is a fun collection of “party games” that are exercises in expressing gratitude. These party games are fun to implement, but they also get you thinking about situations show more where it may be hard to be grateful.

Each party game chapter includes an introduction to why the party game is important, how to implement it, and a story that relates to the specific party game. Each chapter is a fast read, but you want to take time to implement all of the party games to get the full effect of Grout’s teachings.

Did I attract more wealth as a result of Thank & Grow Rich? I did! (I talked about it in this blog post.) I continue to implement several of the party games every day.

If you want more abundance in your life, be sure to pick up a copy of Thank & Grow Rich. I don’t think you’ll regret it!

My big takeaways:

#1: Set the expectation that something awesome will happen to you every day.

As soon as I wake up in the morning, I repeat the following phrase: “Something amazingly awesome is going to happen to me today.” And then I wonder in excitement what it will be!

Guess what? Something amazingly awesome happens every day. I now expect it, and I playfully wait to see what unfolds. It’s like Christmas morning!

#2: Every situation has something to be grateful for.

This was a tough takeaway for me because “bad stuff” happens in the world every day.

I am writing this book review on the Monday after the shootings in El Paso and Dayton. The “old” me would have scoffed at the thought of finding gratitude in these situations. But if you think about it – there are things to be grateful for, such as:

• The Wal-Mart employees who helped injured victims
• Private citizens who ushered kids out of the store and neighboring mall
• The first responders who secured these scenes, especially in Dayton where they stopped the shooter from harming more people
• The people who lined up to donate blood.

Every situation is a source of gratitude. Even the devastating ones.

How Thank & Grow Rich relates to entrepreneurs:

Here’s comes Jill’s soap box…

If you want to have a successful business, you need to work on yourself – personally and spiritually.

If you look at the top entrepreneurs out there, from Oprah Winfrey to Sir Richard Branson, they have invested in making themselves more enlightened, well rounded people.

No matter what stage your business is in, personal and spiritual development should be a high priority.

And if you want to make more money and serve more people, reading books such as Thank & Grow Rich will help you immensely.

I invite you to read this book and find the grateful moments in your life. Not only will you feel better, you’ll be richer, too.

This is Pam Grout´s brilliant sequel to her best seller “E-squared”.

The book is both totally inspiring and exquisitely humorous. Pam has her own unique, humorous writing style.

There´s a preliminary section, and one with various experiments, as in Pam´s previous book.

She presents us with a new Worldview (Worldview 2.0), the two main principles of which are as follows:

1) The energetic world, the world you can´t see, touch or smell, is the foundation on which all else rests.
2) Everybody show more gets a happy ending.

We´re reminded that the very act of observation is an act of creation.

Each experiment chapter gives us a Meme followed by Worldview 2.0. (A meme is an accepted belief that spreads like a virus.) For example, Meme: The world is a menacing place. Worldview 2.0: There is nothing to fear. Meme: Life happens to me. Worldview 2.0: Life emanates from me. Meme: God is an entity outside of me. Worldview 2.0: God is a state of being, a loving energy that flows through me, sustains me, and surrounds me with light.

You get the picture.

Many people found that Pam´s experiments in “E-squared” worked for them, and blessings and miracles occurred. What we need to do is look the other way, focus on the good stuff, and it will appear.

There are nine experiments, Each teaches us how to change our reality by changing our thoughts/beliefs.

Experiment 4 is The “I´m loving and I know it” corollary (or there is no “them”). Worldview 2.0 is Being in Love with Everyone and Everything Brings me into Alignment with the FP (field of infinite potentiality). We´re asked to be a love bomber, and also appreciate the world´s most annoying person.

We´re asked: is it possible that all people (and situations and events ----) I can´t stand are blessing me with opportunities to grow? The hypothesis is that “the more love I generate, the more I`ll be in alignment with the field of infinite potentiality”.

Pam states that money is nothing but energy and a reflection of our beliefs. Money isn´t real. It´s an energy that forms around your thoughts. “The world seen clearly without the lens of lack and limitations is wildly abundant.” There is no shortage of anything. Everything you really need is already provided. It is only an illusory belief in limitation that keeps our riches away.

We are reminded of the power of our words and exhorted to drop the negative chit-chat. By actively monitoring our words, we will notice a change in what shows up in our lives.

Meme: Life sucks and then you die. Worldview 2.0: Life is miraculous and I can´t really die.

The book is actually a guide to raising your vibration and to enlightenment. After reading it, I feel that my world is transformed, or at least I have all the keys to transforming it. I feel better! It is a miraculous world, and I can make it even more miraculous.

My only gripe is Pam´s continued and widespread use of (for me) incomprehensible abbreviations e.g. PDA, BFF, SO, TGIF, etc. The only two she defines is FP (field of potentiality) and BS (not what you think, but “belief system”).

The book is crammed with inspiring quotes and stories, and the reader is thus enabled to find further books on similar subjects.

This book will probably change your life if you absorb even just a little of its content. I highly recommend it.
