I inherited this little book from my father. He bought a few books while serving in the Army Airforce in WW II . The print is big enough for me to see and there are many wonderful watercolors of the area.
" Ulster is a province much talked of and little understood- name about which controversy rages" The author touches on so much, the scenery, the religious strife, the poetry, and it makes me aware of how little I know of Ireland. The answers are not in this book but the questions stand show more out.
I hope that you are fortunate enough to find this little book, enjoy the watercolors and read the author's ramblings. show less

I have an old edition of this book, probably 1912. But with a paper cover with an illustration of Munster, printed in Great Britain. The cover keeps the hardback clean so please do not throw away your covers! The language is flowery and I enjoyed the beautiful water color illustrations more than the text. Still, I will keep my copy for my son to pass along to his son.
Gwynn considers Scott a great explorer and leader as well as a great writer.
