Phylliss Adams (–2017)

Adams dedicated her life to improving literacy instruction. She had a long career of teaching at public schools and universities in the fields of reading and literacy. She was a speaker and consultant, presenting in over 30 states, as well as for international council in more than 10 countries. Still she found time to author more than 40 books for young readers as well as professional development materials for educators. She and her husband of 65 years, Keith, visited all 50 states and over 100 countries.
