A pretty good collection, although i wonder how many of the tales the authors themselves would have categorized as Lovecraftian.
Quite varied, and i don’t mean in terms of quality but rather feel. Some very nasty, some comedy, sci-fi, some responses to Lovecrafts xenophobia etc.
Take into account, despite how much i like Lovecraft i’m show more not a big fan of the short story form in general. Having said that while all of these were interesting none of them were a home-run for me and i can’t imagine rereading this one. Only reason a couple of them are rated 5-stars is that i was grading on a curve. Glad it was a borrow not a buy.
Still entertaining enough for a once off read. show less

Honestly, I bought this book for [author: Lyda Morehouse]'s story, but the other stories are really good, too. I was particularly taken with [author:Nicola Griffith]'s.
a fine collection of stories with great variety ... worth checking out.
