If you are looking for a simple nonfiction book on China, this book is perfect. It is very short and to the point, which is exactly what I was looking for. It's very easy to read, so younger students can enjoy this book, too. The pictures are big and bold photographs.
This picture book by Christine Juarez describes a country in Asia: Japan. The illustrations in this book show real photographs of Japan. It talks about the country’s climate, animals, its people, and their culture. This book has a glossary with word definitions, and is good to use in teaching children some new vocabulary.
