Useful little pasta book, if generally pasta all' inglese - far too much sauce!
The book to accompany a TV series by Ruth Rogers and the late Rose Gray (1939 - 2010) of the famous River Cafe restaurant. Their restaurant brought Italy, particularly Tuscany, to a generation of London chattering classes and nurtured other cooks such as Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. This book covers Soups, Pasta, Risotto & Polenta, Fish & Shellfish, Meat, Poultry & Game, Vegetables & Salads, Sauces and Puddings and provides reliable and interesting recipes to allow even show more beginners to create authentic Italian food. A few ingredients might be difficult to obtain outside the metropolis but one could make substitutions. show less
