The exchange between Albert and RJ had me almost tearing up. For Albert to share his wisdom despite the dire situation they both found themselves in was very endearing. It is just what RJ needed to realize just how lucky he was to get a second chance.

Dani and RJ pushing each other's buttons was hilarious. What they both went through with the earthquake and their personal lives, brought them closer together. This in turn made the intimate moments that much better.

OMG. This book wrecked me show more but in a good way. I loved every moment of this book. It is such an emotional read. One that is not to be missed for sure. By the end, my heart was on the mend but barely. show less

Where the hell has this book been all my life!?!? Furthermore, why had I never heard of it before?!? I saw a review on it and thought to myself that it sounded good. I had noooooo idea how good.

There are moments that will hurt your heart. There are moments that will make you smile. Finally, there will be moments that you relish in the fact that the universe always has a plan when it comes to healing and love.

From the moment that I witnessed the connection between Jake and show more Casey, I was hooked. Their connection was off the charts. There were an ease and familiarity with each other that felt like two souls rediscovering each other after a very long hiatus. Their dialogue and banter had me laughing several times and grinning like a fool.

The characters around them were also important. The author did an incredible job creating the scene and environment around the book that was realistic and dynamic.

I'm a fan. This author is gifted. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

I fell in love with this author after Cake. As that series progressed she has me under her spell. This book was another great book by her. I love how she always manages to include love as an underlying message in her stories. Not love in the typical sense, but the importance of finding how to process love in the discovery of one's self;in family, friends, and life.

I was expecting more comedy in this but still was another great book by an amazing author.
