Translated from the German. ?áInteresting. ?áThe text is longish, and the pictures invite deep reflection. ?áIf you like surrealism (Magritte, not Dali) you might want to buy this. ?áIt's a work of art that's about art and about a boy who sees, in a neighbor who paints, a sort of mentor... and, subtly, it's about the young man who finds himself in the role of mentor. ?á

The book design says picture-book, but it's for all ages, especially (I think) 8-11.

The Collector of Moments is a fantastic contemporary book tells about a story between a boy and his good friend Max, who is an artist. Every evening, the boy plays the violin for Max and Max draw pictures quietly. Normally, the boy cannot see the paintings by Max because he always face them to the wall, but there was one day, when Max went traveling, he put all paintings face to the boy, which are amazing. However, the sad thing is that Max moved out from this place and the boy felt sad and stopped play violin until he receive a painting by Max one day. This book has a lot of amazing paintings, which are collected by author and each oh them have a true story.
