The morals in this one doesn't make sense. I felt like the dog simply watching the frog land his airplane was no big deal. I understand that spying isn't a good thing, but he wasn't peeping into his house. It is worse that the frog left the dog hanging in a tree. Frog only sent out a note in the wind for someone else to help him. It may have never reached anyone. Why was the dog the bad one in this situation?

Children's story from 1958, written and illustrated by Rene Cloke. Patrick, a farm puppy, sets off in his caravan for a holiday by the river. Patrick mistakes a runaway dog for his cousin on route, leaving cousin Tatters, to make his own way to the holiday site. . Simple story; lovely drawings.

This book would be useful to use in a poetry unit.
Mr. Nobody
Nobody seems to know who did it, or who did not. Make up a story about how it happened then go and create another imagination story.
2/3rd grade The mystery of who did it could be worked into a skit or play acted.
