I found this one to be a lot of fun but only because I am a huge fan of Top Chef.

If you don't love that show you might be annoyed by this book which is more about the inner thoughts of a chef conceptualizing and cooking dishes for the "Chef Supreme" reality TV show than it is about the potential romance between Sadie, a contestant, and the dreamboat guy she met on her flight to NYC who just happens to be the newest judge of the show.

A sweet story about a young female chef, Sadie, participating in a TV cooking competition. On her way to compete in the show she encounters Luke, and the chemistry between them is undeniable.

This story kept me entertained from the beginning. I love food and frequently have foodnetwork playing on my tv in the background. The banter between all the characters was great and each character was well developed with their own style.

This book excelled when talking about the food or the, albeit predictable storyline of the traditional food critic and the "new guard" social media influencer hating each other--then working together--then having sex and falling in love. In that order I saw it all coming and you could easily make it a Hallmark storyline (pretty sure they have already)

There are supporting storylines about friendship, doing a career you love, and OF COURSE misunderstandings.

So all that to say, the book was fine. Nothing earth shattering and the pages basically defending influencing I could have lived without.
