This is a fantastic book! I loved everything about it! The setting of Hope's Haven is serene and picturesque. The characters are wonderful! They are relatable and genuine! I have so many favorites, it's hard to choose. Martha is patient, kind, and compassionate. Asher is hard working, loving, and caring. The ending is perfect! This is a definite must read!

nice historical romance. Ivy is headed to Turnabout, Texas to claim an inheritance. But her mule turns up lame, and schoolteacher Mitch scares her by accident, causing her to hit her head. He takes care of her in a nearby cabin, until she's over her concussion. They try to play it cool, not letting on that they spent time together in the cabin, but the gossips get a handle on it anyway.

Her Patchwork Amish Family by Winnie Griggs is a sweet Amish story. We are taken to Hope’s Haven where Martha Eicher volunteers to help Asher Lantz when his new nanny breaks her leg. Asher is the guardian of his niece and triplet nephews after the death of their parents. Asher is reluctant to accept Martha’s help because he blames her for is brother going Englisch. With no one else available, Asher reluctantly accepts Martha’s help. Will time and proximity heal the rift between them? I enjoy Winnie Grigg’s writing style. It makes the story easy and pleasing to read. I like the characters and the setting. I enjoyed getting to know Martha Eicher and Asher Lantz. Asher’s grandmother is a sweetheart. The three children (Asher’s niece—Lottie and three nephews) are endearing. The triplets are extremely active and mischievous (Zeke, Zeb, and Zack). Martha’s former teaching experience helps her in dealing with the children. She can see what the four kids need (structure, discipline, and love). In the story, we get to see how a mistaken belief (or a lie) can harm people and relationships. I like that we get a glimpse of life in an Amish household. There are daily chores that need to be accomplished. I liked how Martha taught the children how to do their chores. We also get to see how Amish traditions are passed on to the next generation. It turns out that Asher and Martha have a lot in common. Asher has cared for Martha since he was a student. Martha worries about the four-year age difference and the fact that she was once Asher’s teacher. I enjoyed reading this charming, wholesome story. While Her Patchwork Amish Family is the third book in the Hope’s Haven series, it can be read as a standalone. We do get to catch up with Greta and Noah as well as Hannah and Micah. I appreciated the humor in the story. Her Patchwork Amish Family has forgiveness, love, family, friendship, and faith. Her Amish Patchwork Family is a touching tale with an injured nanny, energetic triplets, a mud mishap, courting correspondence, a timid miss, a past misapprehension, and an insightful Gott.… (more)

I was very lucky to win this book in a giveaway! It was a very sweet Amish romance that in some ways taught some delightful lessons. I loved how Martha encourages Asher to spend time with the kids. The characters were enjoyable to read about and it was realistic and believable. It was a clean and sweet book with family values. The triplets are full of life and a handful and Lottie is very, very shy. Martha is a wonderful nanny to the children.
Although this was the first book I have read from this author, I will definitely keep reading from this author!… (more)
