There are fewer than 100 pages in Mutants & Monsters (or Mysteries Unwrapped: Mutants & Monsters). Some of those pages contain only an illustration or photographs, or repeat a sentence or two from the regular text in large green letters. Its six chapters still pack in information about cryptozoology. Besides such familiar cryptids as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, the Mothman, the Chupacabra, and the Jersey Devil, there are plenty of lesser-known creatures from around the world. I'd never show more heard of some of them.

These are the chapters:
Bigfoot, the snowman, and the strange apes
Sea monsters: Nessie and her cousins
Thunderbirds and things with wings
Phantom cats and feline monsters
Owlman, giant turtles, and other big beasts
Chupacabras and other mysterious monsters

Although written for schoolchildren, this book might serve as an introduction to the subject for curious adults who don't want to read a lot right off the bat. It does contain a list of source material and an index, the latter being more than I expected, and for which I thank the author.

I was determined to dislike this book, but I found myself pulled into the conflict raging in this young man's mind as he is faced with an overwhelming task. The author did an amazing and painfully truthfull job. Most of us want to bury our less-than honorable thoughts. The growth of this character through the events of war, dissappointment, hardship and time is a parable for human life. I'm very glad I read this book.
This book is about a young boy named Henry fighting during the Civil War.Henry is scared about the battlle and questions his own courage.but later on after his first battle he summons up his courage and takes charge in battle and also gets shot in the head in some part of the story.Jim henrys best freind dies in the first battle. i like this book because it shows to face your fears and gain more courage.I recomend this book to everyone 8 and up.
Huckleberry Finn is a young boy in the 1840s, who runs away from home, and floats down the Mississippi River. He meets a run away slave named Jim and the two undertake a series of adventures based on the Picaresque novel by Mark Twain. As the story progresses the duo exploit an array of episodic enterprises, while Huckleberry slowly changes his views of bigotry. Along the way, Huck and Jim meet the King and Duke, who ultimately send the protagonists towards a different route on their show more journey. As Huck begins to have a change of heart, he gradually begins to distinguish between right and wrong, and conclusively, Huck is faced with the moral dilemma between the world's prejudice, of which he's grown up with, and the lessons Jim has taught him throughout the story about the evils of racism. show less
