David Lee (1) (1944–)

A wild romp in the psyche of a community through the very literal rendering of dialect makes My Town a collection that resonates in a key that is charming and disarming. I didn't fully buy into the yarns and I think my own hesitancy did me a disservice to the enjoyment I could've had if I approached it less like a book of poetry and more like a barroom conversation.
