I liked the structure of using a short biography of a famous psychologist to start off on a section of work they inspired. Of course psychology has moved on substantially since this time so many of the findings have been superseded.

I was provided an advanced copy of this book by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a history book, and Levenstein is a scholar of women's studies; it is academic in nature and just like the title says, if you were expecting something different you won't see this book coming.

This is an important and necessary book that fills a hole in the timeline of feminism's history that shows where intersectionality gains momentum through evolving technology and redefining what a feminist and feminist discourse is and can entail.… (more)
