Hal Cain is an ex-spec ops cyborg on death row. He is just the guy you need to rescue the spoiled daughter of a doting rich father. I like the sardonic humor of the opening scenes. Once the plot starts, none of the characters in this action thriller are warm and cuddly. Violence is the order of the day. 3 stars.

I said in my review of the last omnibus that I really love the pig dog, Max. Well he really hit his stride in this one. The little snippets where you hear the story progression from his point of view were so much fun! I also liked watching the progress of the many friendships and romances in this series. People who started off as hostile, and ended up allies are one trope I really like in a story. Well done, and I look forward to more from these authors.

Loved it! Following Thaddeus and all of his adventures hasn't gotten old yet. I absolutely love Maximus, the pig dog. His antics are hilarious, and he's a great character by himself. The way the authors grouped these episodes was perfect. Even though exciting things happen in each episodes, I really feel like the last episode in each omnibus is the most exciting. especially in this one. Great choice of narrators.

I love that these are all in compact sections, so I don't feel like I have to listen all at once. of course, I DID binge them like crazy, but I didn't HAVE to. I thought I wasn't going to like the narrator change, but then I listened. Abernathy is a great narrator! I didn't recognize the name, but I definitely recognize his voice. This was an engaging continuation to the story started in the first omnibus, with more depth added. It was nice to see some people get what they deserved, both good and bad. I definitely recommend this series.… (more)
