I liked this book much more than the previous one in the series (Clean Slate). Chris and Nikita's chemistry is off the charts and I love "enemies to lovers" stories with fight/f*ck scenes. I really enjoyed how the plot unwound. The climax was worthy of a James Bond ensemble cast movie. The resolution was great, though I could see where we were headed towards the end.

Mr Voinov is a master of drawing the steely spined, intense as f*ck Russian full of conflict, darkness mixed with noble intentions. I really love these type of characters. If you liked Nikita, check out Dark Edge of Honor, and the Special Forces series.… (more)

Misha and D’s chapters 5 stars
Alien chapters 1 star

There is nothing paranormal or fantasy-like in this story, except for an old Russian folk tale that served as an inspiration for Misha’s tattoo.

Final score: 3 stars

I liked this more than the 1st book in the series: Chris was my favorite character (always had a thing for the cocky ones)and I wasn't satisfied by the end of Clean Slate since I though he was kind of wasted in a threesome with John and Andrei.

Chris and Nikita are, in my humble opinion, definitively a better pair: their interactions were explosive and, at the same time, there was an aftertaste of sweetness that made them even hotter together!

3.5 Stars Would have been 4 Stars had it been longer or even a less abrupt and jarring end. I wanted to read more about Jon and Tim, darn it!
