(1912) Previously read, but not sure where. This one has appeared in quite a few anthologies over the years.

A young man has been having a recurring nightmare for over a decade. In the dream, he's usually a guest at an acquaintance's home. When the hostess lets him know that he'll be sleeping in the tower room, he is overcome by an inexplicable feeling of dread.

Then one day, in real life, a friend invites him to a party. Although it's a different friend, and the details are different, he is overwhelmed by deja vu as he enters the house. Will he finally find out what his dreadful presentiment foreshadowed?… (more)

I had seen the film of this story before I read this book. It had very wonderful musics. I think this book almost expresses the film faithfully.
A girl had a very strong London accent was taught good English by Higgins. And she became a lady. It looks like a Cinderella story, but this story is a romance.
If you don't know the story of My Fair Lady, I suggest to you that you read this book.

The main character John and his wife Laura are on holiday in Venice.
They lost their daugher, she was dead, and they want time to forget her.
But in Venice, they met strange old sisters and happen mysterious things around them.

I like the end of this story, it is like a my favorite movie "six sense".
This is very suprised us very much, but I have many inexplicable thigs after finish reading.
Who is the murder? What happened to him? Why? and so on.
I was very confused by this book.… (more)

This book has three stories and I'm going to talk about first one.
This title is "The woman in the Black Coat".
Fanny,a young woman married Lord Glenfallen,a rich man.
They loved each other and lived happily, but one day,she met a ghost of 'Lady Glenfallen',the last Glenfallen's wife!
This story did'nt say who killed her,so I thought it interesting and this story inspirates reader's imagination.
But also,I thought this story's title "black coat" was'nt need because this word did'nt relate with main story.… (more)
