Walt Disney is an artist who created Mickey Mouse. As time went on, he began to create cartoons and movies that consisted of color and sound. Walt Disney won plenty of awards for his cartoons and movies. Walt Disney also created famous amusement parks around the world. Those amusement parks are still open today. This is a great story for all ages because it starts with the topic of "Who is Walt Disney?" then walks you through his family and how he started out just drawing cartoons, and ends with talking about his creations and awards that he had won throughout his life. I really like this book because one of my favorite places to visit is Disney World. It's always great to learn more about the places that you love to go.… (more)

By far my absolute favorite book from this week! I am a huge Disney World fan. I love everything Disney. As soon as I saw this book on the shelf, I knew I needed to read it. I think it is so interesting to find out more information about the person who invented the best theme parks! I was able to learn about his life and what made him want to build/create Walt Disney World. This book took me on a journey through his years and gave me information about him and his family, too!

Prior to reading this book, the only knowledge I knew about Walt Disney is that he created Disney World and Disneyland. It was quite interesting learning about him as a businessman as well as his interest in drawing, which was his guidance in the creation of his ideal theme parks. I believe this is a great book for children to read that only think of Walt Disney as the man who created theme parks. The reason I think it's a good idea for children to read this book is to get insight on Disney if they ever decide to visit. Overall, this book was very engaging. There were detailed information giving throughout the book as well as background information. Although Walt passed away, his company still successfully made his dream a reality by using his original characters and creating the fun environment for families to Visit just like Walt Disney intended.… (more)

Prior to reading this book, the only knowledge I had on Walt Disney was his magical places, called Disney World and Disney Land, which I think is pretty common among people who have never read his biography or researched him. I learned that he is a famous artist and businessman, was born in Chicago to move to farm in Kansas, he lived during World War 1, had a family, and worked hard to earn everything that he has. This biography only enforces the idea that everyone should read biographies, as they contain so much knowledge and content, that I think everyone can benefit from, whether it be academic or just to have.… (more)
