1.) Samantha, living in Oakland, California, became convinced that her gender was properly male, and took the name Andrew. Somewhat coincidentally, Samantha / Andrew's close friend Luke, decided that he was queergender, and took the gender neutral name of Sasha, and using the pronoun "they."
