Description
Richard Grey (1457–1483) was the younger son of Sir John Grey and Elizabeth Woodville. After John Grey's death fighting for the cause of Lancaster in the Wars of the Roses, Elizabeth managed to marry the Yorkist King Edward IV. Grey's stepfather knighted him and giave him several positions of authority, including a role in the education of his half-brother Edward, Prince of Wales. Grey was arrested and executed when Richard III took the throne.
