DescriptionsEdit Descriptions

The Bristol Historical Association pamphlets were produced between 1960 and 2007. Peter Harris acted as general editor and publisher. Academic direction came from Bristol University History Department and, later, the UWE Regional History Centre. Most of the contributors were academics or local scholars. Every pamphlet was subject to peer review by academics from the Bristol Historical Association. Given both the quality and quantity of the scholarship in the 120 pamphlets, BHA is re-publishing them online to make these histories freely available worldwide. Currently (early 2022) over eighty of the pamphlets have been digitised and OCR'd, and are accessible from https://bristolha.wordpress.com/bristol-ha-pamphlets/ (English, Unclassified)
