- About My Library
My intent is to catalog my Reference books (for books), my major collections, and some unusual items. I doubt if I will ever get a large part of my collection listed.
My listings for Robert Lawson's work are complete in First Editions (most in jacket if one was issued) as listed in most Bibliographies. I have corrected some items that are listed incorrectly in various Robert Lawson Bibliographic reference lists. I also have some titles listed that are not found in Lawson Bibliographies, and I suspect there may be several other titles that are not recorded. I am still researching his work in books and magazines. For other Lawson collectors, I have added detail notes on the First Edition points in at least most of the listed books. I also have some variant art dust jackets shown, that were done during the artists lifetime. I am trying to trace when this artwork first appeared on jackets. I have not made an attempt to collect Lawson material reprinted in various anthologies and sets for children. A few items of that type have found their way into my collection. I also have made little attempt to collect either the British editions or other foreign editions, although I do have a few. My main interest was in collecting Lawson's work in First Editions or Limited Editions in Dust Jacket or Box, where one was issued.

My Collection of John Bellairs books is complete in Trade Hardcover First Editions, I also have a Full collection of American Paperback First Editions and an incomplete collection of Advance copies (Proofs, etc.). I have collected John Bellairs since the early 1980's. At one point I attempted to collect both the Trade issue and the Publisher's Library issue of titles released in both formats. I own 1st printing copies of the all Library issues, but many are in Ex. Libary condition. I think I have waited too long to build a complete set of the Library Issues in First Printing, without Library markings.

My collection of Ash-Tree Press titles is close to complete. I am missing around 15 titles, a few of those I have in an E-Book format, and some I have in a true First Edition so I do not feel that the Ash-Tree Press edition is all that important. I also have two early titles in a Second (Ash-Tree) Printing. I have made no attempt to collect the Paper reprints that Ash-Tree Press did of their own titles. I will probably add more titles as time goes on, if I can find them at reasonable prices. Some titles I have little interest in, and I would only be adding them for the sake of completeness. I am not sure if that is a good enough reason.

My collection of the Babar series (by Jean and Laruent de Brunhoff) in First American Editions, with Dust Jacket when one was issued, is relatively complete. I am still missing one or two Dust Jackets and a few jackets could use an upgrade in condition (I am also missing the rare envelopes). I do not collect books based on the de Brunhoff's works. I have not gotten around to listing much of this collection.

My Collection of L. Frank Baum and related material, although fairly complete, has only a small part cataloged on this site. I try to list new items, and other items as I run across them and as time allows. I am not sure if my complete Baum collection will ever be listed. It is of course missing, as most collections are, some of the harder to find items. I do have a fairly large collection of Baum Pseudonymous titles, and many of them are listed.

My collection of titles published by F. Tennyson Neely was built in a search for titles of a Fantasy or Occult nature. I currently have listed over 50 titles, although some have no fantasy content (usually bought as part of a multi book purchase), and many have only slight Fantasy content. Many if not all books show London as well as New York and Chicago as the place of publication. I doubt if any of this publisher's books ever were sold in London shops, unless as second hand copies.

I have for 20 years or more purchased copies of the Children's books of the Cincinnati Publishing firm of Peter G. Thomson when spotted. This has not amounted to very many books, although recently I have given this small collection more attention and it has been slowly growing. It is still a fairly small part of the total output from the publishers. I have been trying to pick up some of the more interesting and seldom seen items that they published. I very much doubt that this collection will ever be anywhere near complete.
