About My Library
I love anything by Douglas Adams, Anne McCaffrey, Marion Zimmer Bradley, J.K. Rowling, Philip Pullman, Isaac Asimov, Jasper Fforde, Jane Austen, Kurt Vonnegut. I sink into nonfiction and classics on occasion.

I used to exclusively read sci-fi and fantasy, but over the years, I got frustrated by the sameness of the genres and the writing. I've learned to be more discerning and careful with my time.
About Me
I love my Kindle -- I read mostly ebooks now. I'm a big gadget geek, though my wallet is less fond of the gadgets than I am.

Several moves and Bookcrossing also helped relieve me of some of my book collection. But I still have many beloved physical books that will always have a place in my home. I just am practicing the art of letting go, especially when I think I won't re-read a book.

I have master's degree in library and information science, with a concentration in digital libraries, but I've never been a librarian. My interest is in metadata and digital collections, but for now, I continue to work as a journalist.
