Venue Pic badge missing

Greets:

I've noticed that the badge for 10+ Venue pictures hasn't been awarded to me.

I'm calling this a bug since the count of the venue and author pictures was broken until just recently. I'm wondering if it;s related. I waited a few days to see if the count script was just not running as that's happened before

I currently have 15 Venue pictures uploaded. None to my knowledge were flagged. A bronze badge is awarded at 10 pictures.

I don't think badges are fully automated. When I get one I get a message saying "LibraryThing has handed out another round of badges and medals, and you got some new ones" - I had to search :-) Anyway, I get the impression that Tim / staff needs to run an update every now and then.

The last one I saw was Sept 18. It seems like there's at least a month in between rounds, so I think it's what BarkingMatt said.

We had another thread a few months ago where it was stated that the badge script was automated and should run every night although there were issues from time to time with it.

I think the script that sends the message is separate as I;ve received badges before but not the comment for a couple of days afterwards.

i just wanted to report it in case it was overlooked with the recent bug fix for the count itself.

I'm relatively certain it runs at midnight-ish (eastern time) because I've checked my account before midnight (no badge) and after (badge) on subsequent days when I've gotten new badges.

Fixed.

In the process, I borked the data such that it needed to send out notices for every award you've ever gotten. Oh well.

Information wants to be free! And also to chat with other information over a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake. That orange cake with the lemon icing is nice, but not the one with the bits of peel in it, information doesn't like that.

Just to mention, I still don;t see a badge displayed for Picture Flaggers. I know I;ve done at least 10 of those between author and venue pictures. There's no count on the home page so there's no way to tell.

And there's no way to reopen a ticket.

Change it to 'Needs Discussion' if a fix isn't fixed.

You could have done it. Now I have to make a new post just to reach the drop down. :)
