Something weird appears to have happened. I'm finding certain authors are showing "no current copies" on all editions of their books. Examples:
Douglas Adams:
http://www.librarything.com/work/7015245/editions/54973256
http://www.librarything.com/work/5321435/editions/56717692
http://www.librarything.com/work/5827/editions/57024991
Neil Gaiman:
http://www.librarything.com/work/897403/editions
http://www.librarything.com/work/4609344/editions
http://www.librarything.com/work/2280068/editions
So far, it seems like either an author will have correct copy counts for all books, or empty ones for all books.

3> I think when Tim reads some reports, it stand for "Barely Understandable Garbage". ;)
So, can you confirm you're seeing this, too and it's not just somehow me?

Thanks! I've found SEVERAL others, just running through the As in my catalog. Maybe I'll add them to my original post.

In his response to this bug Tim mentioned 'cached and the "real" (calculated) counts'. Perhaps parts of the cache got wiped?

I checked Agatha Christie. Agatha is a problem

Are you out there, Tim? Isn't this kind of worrying?

Bump.
Tim, I realize this may be a tough one, but can we at least get acknowledgement that it's been seen?

It's weird. You would think it would be doing this for all of the books here:

Appears to be really popular stuff only - here's the obvious one
http://www.librarything.com/work/5403381/editions/42278669
Of academic interest then, to see how far down the "Popularity" list this goes.
Looking at Douglas Adams
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: A Trilogy in Four Parts (1,371 copies) does not have editions
http://www.librarything.com/work/17692/editions
while his next most popular book
Deeper Meaning of Liff (926 copies) has editions
http://www.librarything.com/work/4925490/editions
So it isn't by author - seems to be a cut-off at around 1000 copies

Thanks for checking in.

Thanks, Tim; we know that ugly bugs can't always be fixed right away, but this check-in is far, far better than silence.

Sticking to the "Over 1000 copies = no editions" premise
Agatha Christie again (and it sucks that her "real" link is about #5 in Search results)
Taken at the Flood 1004 copies - no editions
Sparkling Cyanide 997 copies - there are editions.
Looking for a 999 and 1000 copy work then - any takers (and it would be cheating to add fake "Sparkling Cyanides"!)?

Oh my. My heart just about stopped.
Just saw this on Misty of Chincoteague, has over 1,900 copies but shows no copies when looking at edition info. Scared the crap outta me.

Fixed. It was a display issue, not a data issue.

Awesome! This bug really annoyed me, but the new bug system gave me a comforting "don't worry, it's on the to-do list" feeling. I know you said in the other thread there's been more anger about bugs since its implementation. But I think the reality is that there's been more of EVERYTHING related to bugs since then. It's just an amplifier. In any case, thanks for this and the other bug work (I say "work" because it's not just about the fixes.)

If anyone gets bored, that first link in this thread is for one of the omnibus hitchhiker's books:
http://www.librarything.com/work/7015245/editions/54973256
The notice on that page says that it;s not the ultimate guide while most of the editions listed are for the ultimate guide. someone may want to check that.
