I feel a need to talk to someone and currently there is no one home.
I am so glad that crazy young woman lost her race. Don't get me wrong, I like witches. I rather don't like witches who feel the need to pay for an advertisement to say they are not a witch. And then she had the nerve to say she was "me". No way, sweetie.
OK, I don't really like seeing so many Republicans win but just as long as they are minimally smart and capable I am sure the end of the world is not nigh.
What are you thinking?

Rand Paul says: "we've come to take our government back"....
my thought is - I am afraid you have come to hijack my government; you are the inheritors of the Know Nothing traditions. I do not like it.

I'm thinking that the end of the world is sorta nigh. Gaia continues to adapt without caring much about whether we can survive her adaptation, nor do the Republicans. The dollar might not survive another run of Republican shenanigans, and my retirement is in dollars. Rights will continue to be eroded.
Oh, well.

Given that prior to the results the UK press was expecting a Republican sweep of both houses, I think the actual results are pretty good, and Obama can claim a 'win'. Although I understand that only a few of the Senate seats were up for re-election and that with more seats being voted on he might not have been so lucky.
That's the view from over here anyway.

"We don't like what is happening. Fixes aren't happening fast enough. We are going to vote back in the people who got us in this mess in the first place and they will fix all our problems!"
Morons.
Morons.

Glad the real nutters didn't make it in other than Rand Paul and still waiting on Alaska. Only one of the "Mama Grizzlies" made it in. Even though I'm not a fan of Jerry Brown or Boxer, really glad to see Meg Whitman lose ($150M plus my Silicon Valley firm tried to push her down the employees throats).
Switched to Fox News for a couple of minutes to see Palin and Ferraro blabbering. Laughed at the huge, ugly colors for the graphics that Fox and CNN had. Thank goodness for Brian Williams (more Lester please :)

I can't comprehend how someone could vote for a guy whose supporters assaulted someone at his rally, put them in the hospital, and he said nothing about it.
