I was reading an old story the other day from my childhood which reminded me of another one that I can only remember bits and pieces from if anyone can piece it together and knows the name it would be awesome!
The story is of 3 young girls, I think they are sisters, who go to live with this giant and his wife. The girls are very much mistreated I think the male giant even puts them into sacks at one point and beats them? But the girls find this cliff and the only way across is by a piece of string. I remember the youngest carries the other 2 on her back across the string where they meet these princes and fall and love. One by one they go back and marry these princes with the youngest being the last. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know lol. Thanks!

This sounds like a version of the Scottish fairy tale Molly Whuppie. The three girls are abandoned in the forest and go to stay with a giant, who tries to kill them by beating them in their beds. The girls of course escape by hiding and substituting other things -- one version has sacks of straw, in another I think the giant ends up killing his own daughters by mistake. Various adventures happen and the girls escape by crossing The Bridge of One Hair. You can probably find it many places -- the version I grew up with was in English Fairy Tales by Joseph Jacobs.
