Spawned off of another discussion where Tim asked...
What hat do you wear when browsing LibraryThing? I'm hoping it's a big fur hat, or, barring that, a sombrero.
So let's answer him. Enquiring minds want to know. Information wants to be free. etc &etc.
Rules:-
1. Webcam shot from a computer where you have LT open
2. Anything else within the bounds of decency and LT ToS.

You are free to post a hat picture from your 'outdoors office' down by the beach!
Very pretty, Joan. I do apologise for Collectorator demeaning that term by applying it to me.

Does a hood count? Also notice the blanket around my shoulders. Is cold in here...(little voice) well cold for California...

I seldom wear hats qua hats indoors...but sometimes it's more comfortable (see:cold, above). Or I'm running out the door but just gotta check LT one more time...

Got a new hat for Christmas with a "Smarty Jones" logo and the racing silks for Three Chimneys Farm on the side. I love the thoroughbreds.
31thejazzmonger
Okay, I give up. Can't get the picture to post.
32thejazzmonger
One more try on my Smarty Jones hat. Although, I should NOT put up a picture after screwing up two attempts to post. oh well...

If I wore a hat in the house, my mother would sense it from across town, come over, and smack me good. So I am among the naked-headed LTers.
36justjim
Oh, come now Dayna. If the British Queen can wear a hat indoors for a photograph, so can you.

lilithcat - What, exactly, are you doing to try to post the image?
Everything I can think of, including even reading the instructions on how to post an image.
I get nothing, not even the text of any erroneous html coding, after my intro sentence.

And, of course, it works that time. Maybe my attitude wasn't right earlier.

These things always work the last time you try it. Kind of like how when you lose your keys, they're always in the last place you look.

Everybody mis-states this cliche. It should be "Found in the last place you would think to look." Then it makes sense.

Now that I'm home from work, I decided to use this thread to test out my computer's built-in webcam. (The results are passable, but not great.) True, the thing on my head isn't strictly a hat, but it keeps my ears warm when I go play in the snow.

A Calorimetry. Think of it as a hat for people with long hair.
>45 MerryMary:
Of those three, I think "snood" would be the closest. Tams and berets are worn on the head, not so much around the hair.

Thank you. +2 vocab words today!

Hilarious, brightcopy. I wish I had thought of that.
52AnnaClaire
Ditto. (Though if I had, people would have been asking me why I hadn't shown off some of my knitting.)
