Hello! What is your favorite book?

19Yells
Apr 24, 2011, 1:03 pm

Hmmm... let's see.... Grimpow by Nuevo was quite a neat little kid's book (I say little but it was a hefty tome).

I have now 'discovered' Paul Quarrington (just after his death) with King Leary and hope to enjoy more of his stuff.

Practical Jean is a strange, strange book but very compelling at the same time. It's quite different from my normal fare :)

And with that, I am done for the year. Things promise to be less hectic next year so I will try again. With work and school and everything else, I am still happy with 170. Of course, there is also that competitive side of me that wants to race over to a bookstore and 'read' 80 picture books between now and midnight just to say I finished :)

Happy new year to everyone. See ya next year!

Jan 2, 2012, 1:38 pm

Congratulations! It is much harder than one would think. I certainly am going to try again, 2011 was filled with moving, illness, vision problems and other things that worked against reading time. I now have a good source of books to read but I need to work it up to the monthly goal of 20 so I meet the year end total of 250.
