Recently I've been reading JR Wards Black Dagger Brotherhood.

Very cool take on vamps, and also the guys are drop dead gorgeous. Its fast pace and easy to read.

Just finished reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood all seven books.

They are amazing. It will make you laugh and cry. You really get to care for the characters even when they are acting like jerks. Loved every second of it.

Next up is The Blood Ties series by Jennifer Armintrout . Will let you know how I get on :)

Lol turns out I've already read them I just didn't realize it until I opened the first book.

So now to find something else to read :P

Right I have a choice to make. I can either read Northlight that I got from the Early review for last month or I can can start The Blue Blood series by Mellisa De La Cruz. Tough call.

The main character's name is Schuyler. I am not sure how to pronounce it so I am reading it in my head as Shyler as the character is a girl.

Is that even close? Any thoughts?

If the former then (bowing to superior knowledge of Dragoneers in the Netherlands), you're intelligible but accented -- the -ch- sounds the same as in Scots loch, but most people I know would tend to swallow that sound or turn it into a -k-. If American, AFAIK you're spot on.

I'd pronounce it Shyler, too.

Right have just finished listening to The Merrybegot an amazing story.

SO much aggro! First I lose my phone. Then when I go to try and get a new one this time on contract I get rejected.

Finally, Katie is on spring break for the next two weeks. She was out Monday, Tuesday and yesterday. Today is the first day I have not taken her out or gone somewhere with her and she is acting like we haven't done anything at all.

To top it off Vincent is fussy and loud. Every time I turn around one or the other or both are screaming about something.

I'm at the end of the rope.

I have been a touch naughty. Have not been reading the reading group books like I should.
I should be reading a book by Dan Simmons, but lately I'd much rather just loose myself in random things.

Have tired to read the Dan Simmons book. Its a fail. I just can not get into it at all. I am finding it a chore so I've decided that its not for me and have put it down. The next book is Joanna Russ's Female Man. I hope its better.

I'm considering becoming a single parent, its hard choice. But most of the time I feel like I am one anyways.

In my experience, feeling lonely while sleeping next to someone is more lonely than feeling lonely while sleeping alone. And I've slept better, too.

Have just finished Anno Dracula by Kim Newman. Very awesome read.

Now have to the windup girl by Palo Bacigalupi. Its for my reading group and I have to tell you I have only read one chapter and its wearing thin already. - think its going to be yet another slog fest. *sigh*

On the other hand have started The Redwall books with katie and she is really enjoying them ;)

Windup girl is horrible, dull and boring. Not getting on with it at all. Not sure I ever will if I'm honest.

I was listening to the audiobook and I...stopped at some point? I lost my place and just never bothered to find it again. Also, there is a lot of stuff in it that is exactly why I often prefer YA books over Adult - graphic violence, rape, etc.

tired, run down and just ready to jack it all in and call it a day. Vincent screams and keeps me awake at nights, if i give him a night light he turns it off and keeps screaming. Katie has stopped listening and pouts and cries at the least little provocation and to top things off andy just doesn't want to know.

the holidays are coming, he's worrying about money and how much we don't have.

Oh honey, I'm sorry. I wish I lived where I could come and watch your kids for a day while you get out of the house. Is there anyone near you who could do that for you? It sounds like you need help now! Please don't go it alone, even if you need to call a hotline, OK? You are precious and wonderful and creative.

Rune, you know we love you! Call, what is it, the Samaritans? if you need to, or like MrsLee says, find a friend to come help. I'm sure you have local friends who care about you as much as we do.

And kick Andy's butt and make him help you! The holidays are about family, after all.

I liked the first Septimus Heape book, but the way the characters behaved at the start of the second book annoyed me too much to keep going. There were a lot of good things in the worldbuilding though, and I recommended them to my friends with children.

I have read them all now except for the latest one Which I am going to be picking up tomorrow. I have to know what happens!

didn't enjoy poison study, started reading it because it was picked for Felicia day's book group and I have to say its not one of the groups better picks. I had a hard time getting into the book and then an even harder time caring about the characters.

Right have just finished Veronica Roth's Divergent. Its a fast read and I liked the idea of it very much.
I liked the strong female lead and how there was a romance later but it was one based on care and respect of one another rather than her just falling over the guy for no reason.

I can't wait to see what the next book is like

7. A poisoned season by Tasha Alexander

The second of the Lady Emily books. I am really enjoying them. The characters are very easy to care about. It's set during the reign of Queen Victoria. The writter has done a fantastic job mixing fact and fiction.

I've read the first of the Lady Emily books. I need to get back to them. Along with the other thousand series I'm reading...

I keep telling myself to finish one series before starting another, so I've managed to keep the series down to under 20(ish). But there are so many I want to read and don't have time for, I get a little anxious about it sometimes. Silly, I know. Divergent is one of those series I've been meaning to fit in somehow.

Really enjoying this set hope to get books four and five next week. Kate is a great character and I have enjoyed getting to know her. Action packed and never dull you just gotta know what happens next.

Wasn't sure about the true blood books but have started to enjoy them not sure I will ever watch the TV serries cause I just don't think I want the characters ruined for me.

I also like the Kate Daniels books, but one of my pet peeves about them is the titles. I can never remember which book is which!

I've been reluctant to read the Kate Daniels because I'm allergic to the romance genre. A swear it gives me hives just thinking about it.

How romancy are these? I mean, I have nothing against a bit of sex etc, but I cannot stand how the women in the romance genre all become simpering idiots the moment the guy walks on stage.

83> I don't really read books in the romance genera, so I don't know where the series falls exactly. But I wouldn't call Kate or any of the other female characters simpering idiots.

What I really like about them is the mystery plots and mythological elements. The world building's very interesting and another of my favorite elements. Also, the roughly equal gender ratios is very nice.

This being said, the first book in the series is the worst. Not because of romance elements but because it has less world-building and mythology than the later books. You could try starting with Gunmetal Magic, a companion book which follows Andrea, a woman whose's half hyena.

I'm not sure how I felt about it. I finished and was left feeling drained. I didn't like the fact that there were children that had caught/been infected by this thing. I felt that the fact that he both lost his daughter and then had to deal with killing infected children was a bit much and it disturbed me greatly. I doubt I will ever watch the movie.

I think if I had been reading during the day I might have been able to over come the emotional train wreck. But I stupidly read late at night and ended up checking on my kids several times while reading. I even woke up my other half to make sure he was okay.. you can guess how that went down. lol

over all not my favorite read ever.

I really loved them both . I read Moth in the mirror in a day and half and the other in a day they flowed so beautifully. I can't say enough good things about them.
