Since it seems like casting for the film is gonna come fast and furious now that the main characters are cast, I'll be listing whatever I find here.

i am going to see it and i am not at all scared that it will ruin the books.
i see the movie and books as two seperate things.

Yeah but I think that the Peeta character and the Gale character should be switched around. Just saying.

I actually don't agree with either actor. They look nothing like the characters, at least in my mind.

Really? I thought that Gale was brunette and Peeta was blond. I know they can use hair dye and all, but still. But I hear they're both good actors, so we'll see.

I still think it should have been Evan Peters and Drew Roy for Peeta and Gale, respectively. They look the parts more, in my opinion.

Latest news has offers going out to Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, and Lenny Kravitz to play so far unknown roles, although Harrelson is rumored to play Seneca Crane. Tucci may play either Cinna or President Snow, and Kravitz is a complete question mark.

I can't wait to see who plays Cinna! Still quite a few tributes left to pick roles for-- Foxface, Cato, Clove, etc.

yeah...... i like the gale, but ive gotta agree with beckylynn that i thought of peeta as a little bigger. but we will see, and hopefully they will impress us. i dont know about anyone else, but i have pretty high expectations...

****Pretty sure that Gale and Peeta actors are reversed in earlier thread. I've seen these two picked for these roles, but Liam is always identified as Peta, NOT Gale..... Maybe an 'oopsy'?! :)

I think Tucci will be a FABULOUS Snow!! Kravitz is however, throwing me off...maybe a 'coach' from another district?

Yeah, he doesn't show up until Catching Fire, so no Finnick for this film.

Well, most of the Tributes are no names in the book. It looks like the actors playing the older characters will be more well known, however. I guess they just decided this would be the perfect vehicle to get a lot of unknown talent some screen time.

Why aren't there more younger tributes like Rue (like 13 or 14)? They all look like they're in their 20's! I like the Foxface character. Did they ever find out what her real name was?

Her real name was never revealed. I think the reason why there aren't more younger people is because it was more common for older kids to have their names drawn to begin with. Remember, the older they are, the more times their names are put into the reaping, not including how many extra times they've been put in for getting food and such.

Seneca Crane is the head gamesmaker for the 74th Hunger Games. He's the one that gave in to Katniss and Peeta's suicide ploy.

Sorry jrg1316! You're right! I guess I just WANTED to believe that they would be switched around...that makes a lot more sense in my brain. Now, I have to say I'm a little disappointed.

Also,as far as 'no name' actors. Think (yes, I'm going to say it, sorry!) Twilight, the actors had been in a few movies, but by no means were they big names like they are today~

jrg116- The point I was trying to make is how everyone was saying that the actors that are being casted for the Hunger Games roles are not 'big actors'.
I was comparing the situation to when the Twilight Movies became really big, how the actors' weren't as well known as they are today.

Woody Harrelson and Stanley Tucci were rumored to offered parts and got them. The last person was Lenny Kravitz, and I don't see him making a good President Snow. Could he be Cinna perhaps?

sarahy- I agree with you, I pictured Cinna to be a little more...flamboyant, even though they describe him to be the less decorated in the book. Not sure I see Kravitz pulling off that connection that Katniss and Cinna has.

i think maybe if they dressed him up a little and took off some of that jewelry, maybe he could pull it off. I thought he was like put together and cool...... but thats just what I thought...

Since I just reread hunger games I thought it would be cool to re see who all the characters will be for the movie. As for the two main boys I think they cast really well.
