Finished Deep Storm by Lincoln Child for #17.

Still reading The Terror as I read it at lunchtime at work only.

Also finally started Imperial Grunts by Robert D. Kaplan which I have had sitting around for six months.

Finished The Terror for 18 books read during the year so far. Still working on Imperial Grunts and also just started The Innocent Man by John Grisham which I picked up at the library.

37.53% through the year and 36% of the way to 50 books read.

The Innocent Man is finished for #19.

Started The Collectors by David Baldacci to go along with Imperial Grunts and No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy that I am also reading still.

The Collectors is complete for #20, Flying Blind by Michael Smerconish will be finished tonight for #21.

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro read for #22.

This was one of the 1001 Books to read before you die

No Country for Old Men done for #23. Saturday by Ian McEwan and Death by Black Hole:And other Cosmic Quandaries by Neil deGrasse Tyson will both be done this weekend getting me to 25, with little more than 1/2 a year still to go.

Still reading Imperial Grunts but it's been on the back burner for the last few weeks.

I finished Straight Talk from the Heartland by Ed Schultz last weekend before the site went down for #26.

Have about 160 pages left for Imperial Grunt and I am 50% through The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw.

The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw done for #27. Have started both Comrades by Stephen Ambrose and The Lies of George. W. Bush by David Corn.

I expect to reach the 30 book mark by the end of June. That will put me 60% of the way to the 50 book mark with half thhe year still to go. I would like to pick the pace up to see if I can reach 70 books in the year.

Comrades and Imperial Grunts finally finished. Brings my total to 29 books read this year so far.

Did you enjoy Amber Room and Alexandria Link by Steve Berry. They are both on my ToBeRead list.

I did enjoy them though Amber Room seemed kind of slow and kind of loses it's way half way through. I think because I read Alexandria Link and Templar Legacy first, and both of those were fast paced and held your attention, Amber Room was a shift in gears.

Blink by Ted Dekker and The Chain of Command by Seymour M. Hersh both finished. Brings my total to 31 books read.

Currently working on The Lies of George W. Bush by David Corn and The Victors: by Stephen E. Ambrose

Finished The Lies of George W. Bush and The Victors:. Now up to 33 books read for the year.

Now starting Thr3e by Ted Dekker.

Thr3e finished. Also just read an old book, Is Paris Burning by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre. This was a great book about World World II and the liberation of Paris. It was published in 1965 and was made into a movie but surprisingly, I had just heard about it from a friend.

Just realized I never added The Assault on Reason by Al Gore which I read a month or two ago. 37 down.

Finished Thunder of Heaven by Ted Dekker this morning and Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt yesterday. Brings my total for the year to 39. Only 11 to go in 4 and a half months!

Finished Citizen Soldiers this weekend and read Black by Ted Dekker today bringing total to 41.

Red by Ted Dekker completed yesterday for #42. Now working on Blinded by the Right by David Brock and Man in the Middle by Brian Haig.

Man in the Middle done as well as Picasso Flop by Vince Van Patten which was an easy 2 hour read.

The big 5-0! Blinded by the Right by David Brock and Reborn by F. Paul Wilson finished this weekend putting me at the magic number of 50!

Just finished Band of Brothers :E Company... by Stephen E. Ambrose. I saw the mini-series when it first came out, but reading the book gives you a lot more perspective on the men of Easy Company. This group of men are some of the greatest heroes, if not the greatest, that this country has ever had.

Finished Strike Force by Dale Brown and the First Commandment by Brad Thor this weekend.

Brings my total to 53.

Just started The Last Mission:The Secret History of World War II's Final Battle by Jim Smith and Malcolm McConnell and The Navigator by Clive Clussler

Finished Clive Cussler's The Navigator for #54.

Finished Slide by Ken Bruen, which is on of the books from the Hard Case Crime series.

Completed Rain Storm by Barry Eisler and Armed Madhouse by Greg Palast this weekend.

Will be finishing (40 pages to go), Rick Atkinson's An Army At Dawn tonight. This is the first book in the Liberation Trilogy.

Just back from vacation in Jamaica, read The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot by Naomi Wolf and Two for the Money by Max Allan Collins.

65 read so far this year with 46 days left. Would like to make it to 70.

80 pages left in Blackwater: The Rise of the world's most powerful mercenary army by Jeremy Scahill and just started Biggest Brother : The Life of Major Dick Winters, the Man Who Led the Band of Brothers by Larry Alexander. Should easily reach my 70 book goal for the year.

I don't see myself having a chance to finish any other books in the last 20 days of the year besides these two, so looks like my 2007 total will be 72, 22 over the 50 book challenge.

Finished Bloodline and also The Venetian Betrayal by Steve Berry to bring my total to 72 for the year. Still 1/3 of the way through Guests of the Ayatollah with a little over a week to go in the year.

Just completed Reality Show: Inside the Last Great Television News Wars by Harold Kurtz, an interesting look inside the network evening news shows. Brings my y-t-d total to 73.33.
