Author aliasing is broken

Tonight I separated several authors and aliased. The books do not appear on the proper authors page.

Not there.

On the Christopher Turner page, #5 assigned to Christopher Paul Turner

Book not there

So I checked a random page

Both aliased authors' books do not show on their pages.

I thought I saw a bug report on this before but cannot find.

I think the behavior you noticed is the same that I reported here.

#2 and #3 Although I did not spot the odd author name pages, I checked more authors that I had aliased previously and they did work when I checked after doing it. Now they do not.

Also, could the combinations for the author pages be done at a level which then were combined? A few months ago, I had to separate the names, then separate the incorrect combos and recombine.

And I reported it as well :)

Okay, I think all problems have been solved. Thanks. This one didn't make a lot of sense to me, but it does now.

#9 See report from Combiners group:
If I go to the Hargreaves page, the last three aliases still do not work.

I did try an author recalculate and it did not work!

I guess we now need to fix primary author in all books.

(Will not do so until Tim looks at this example.)

I'm reopening this so Tim will hopefully see the latest problem that's been added.

What's not working exactly?

What's wrong on the Hargreaves page? It looks fine to me. I clicked through to the target authors and the aliased book was on the list in each case.

#12 and #13 When I posted it was not working - now it is. Gremlins?
