I kind of remember someone mentioning this series when this group was first made.
Well anyway, I just finished reading the first four books, and I loved them! I'm looking for someone else here who has read them. Any thoughts?

I've read all of them and I don't mind them at all! I was kind of weirding out at first because I thought that Clary and Jace were brother and sister and were in love, but I kept on reading them and I saw how difficult it was on them.

I think City of Fallen Angels was a bit of a dissapointment - it seemed that all Clary could think about was Jace, Jace, Jace, Jace, and it got very annoying. I did appreciate Simon, though, as I've always liked him, and his relationship with Isabella will no doubt be the latest item. :)

That was how I was too! I stopped reading it at the first book, but I'm glad I decided to pick the series up again, once I found out that Clary and Jace weren't brother and sister. To be honest, I prefer Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices series, which is set in the same world, only in England and in the Victorian Era. No brother and sister confusion in this series!

I liked the third book the best, and yeah, the fourth book was a little disapointing.

#2- It was a bit annoying. Also, I didn't like all the dead babies. Those parts freaked me out. It seemed like you would be going along fine, then BAM! There would be a dead baby. I did like, at the end, Magnus's declaration of love. Magnus is by far my favorite character in all the books. I fell in love with him the first time they described him. You have to admit-- his outfits in CoFA were awesome.

I think I like Infernal Devices better. I like steampunk books, and the era is great. There is nothing more romantic than a forbidden, stolen kiss.

BTW: For all those reader who are going to fall in love with Jem in the second book, let me say this: I am already in love with him. I fell in love when he was first introduced. Beat That!!!

The first one, city of bones, has a movie coming out that has lily Collins in it. I'll probably see the movie even though I haven't read the books.

They better not make the movie inaccurate, like Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief. PJ the Sea of Monsters is out now...hopefully that one is more accurate.

Has anyone seen they movie yet? And if you have did you think it was similar to the book?

I was completely obsessed with this series. The first one was my favorite especially the scene were they sneak into hotel Dumport but I think I almost threw the book across the room( no I would never even think about that) and screamed into a pillow when i found out they were siblings. Sebastian scares me to death and Im counting the minutes until CoHF!!!!!!

The fourth book was a little disappointing because Clary seemed weaker and i really don't like Mia an Jordan but I think Simon was awesome.

I also loved Infernal Devices so its official Cassandra Clare is a genius!!!!!

Are they making movies of each book? Or is that not decided yet?

I've read all the books of this series so far (and the Infernal Devices) and they're pretty good i guess but the fourth and fifth are letdowns i think because it feels to me like Cassandra made them just to gain more money from them. I think it would have been better if she just left it at three books in the series.

They have made one for City of Bones and it came out in August and i think they are making another for City of Ashes, but if the movie doesn't go to well then i don't think that they'll continue making movies for each.

I have yet to see the first one. But most people tell me that the book is much better.

Yes the book is way better than the movie in my opinion. Although Lily Collins is an excellent actor, i just can't see her playing all the aspects of Clary to their full, especially when it comes to the later books.
