Read the first, it's the best, but the third sucked and the second was so-so. The sequels did not live up to the first, which was amazing.

i would rank them
mockingjay
catching fire
hunger games
after rereading them all....the cave scenes (in HG) really ruined the whole book for me.

I also might change my opinion after I
1. Re read the series
2. See the hunger games movie.

I don't know, maybe if the movie for catching fire is really really good I will have a better picture of it than the one o came up with. So maybe I will like catching fire more than hunger games.

Read them!
^I've never thought of it that way. I REALLY hope that the movie is good. So far, it seems like it will be.
My ranking is:
Hunger Games
Catching Fire
Mockingjay

1.) Hunger games
2.) Mockingjay
3.) Catching Fire
as much as i hated the ending of Mockingjay, catching faire really was a terrible book. i was very confused

I did like the whole element of past champions and the clock thing. I think the 75th hunger games was much more a thinking game and less brute strength than the first one.

I agree with mrmcfluff and #21:
there was to much physiological stuff for me. I also got the players confused and how the book ended confused me. Like what was with the whole electrocuting the lake thing? and who died doing it? were they a good guy or a bad guy or did we not know?

See with the first book I can pretty much recall any seen. In the second one everything is kinda foggy, so I totally get what your saying flan.
Do you guys like being challenged when you read a book or would you rather just have an easy read??

I love the challenge of a book that demands your full attention. You think that Catching Fire was complicated? It has nothing on Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Talk about having to pay attention during a book. It was such a delicious read!

huh. I feel the same way with Agatha Christie books but hers are much more intriguing. I do enjoy murder mysteries very much.
