I saw a post on another thread referring to brain worms, and I thought we could be evil and list them here.

My wife was quite nasty this morning, knowing my head gets stuck on songs. She started singing "She put the lime in the coconut; she drank them both up..."

Arghhhhhhh............

Share your brain worms here :D

I watched Mame with Lucille Ball the other night. OMG, what a brain worm.

You charm the husk right off of the corn, MaaaAAAAaaame.

That MaaaAAAaaAAame keeps going through my head.

The aircon fixit guy came to my office yesterday. His cell-phone rang. It took eight hours to get those two bars of "music" out of my head!

The Lonely Island's "I'm on a Boat". For DAYS. To the point where I want to jump up from my desk and belt out "Poseidon! Look at meeee now!"

I'm sure my coworkers would be thrilled.

"Daydream Believer" because it's been played so many times in the last day or so due to Davy Jones' death.

Normally I get stuck with the disco versions of Abba that are played at Curves for exercising to.

I have some annoying measures from my choir music stuck in my head. The songs are actually quite pretty, but my part, on its own, over and over and over again...no thank you.

LMFAO's "I'm Sexy and I Know It." It's been stuck in my head off and on for the last month.

I keep hearing "I Don't Want This Night to End" by Luke Bryant. Sorry if I offend the country-music haters out there, but I love this song and I love the video.

I just wish I didn't hear it all day long. I haven't seen the video in three days, but the chorus keeps coming back...

The chorus from "Get up" by Chinese man

"Get up, get out, you lazy lout
Get into your working clothes
Up to your knees in oil and grease
And a grindstone to your nose"

Sound like some sort of Irish folksong (I quite like it)

Woke up this morning to a mashup of Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" and her cover of Eric Carmon's "All By Myself." Um. Ooookay....... ??

I can't even remember the last time I heard either of those songs for real, and I'm not even that much of a fan of hers, but there they were, right out of the gate when I woke up.

Found myself belting it out in the shower before I'd even gotten my eyes properly opened. I'm not even unhappy right now, and I associate both of those with superweepy self-indulgent crapitosis.

Further, neither of them had anything to do with what I was dreaming about before I dragged myself up - I was having a spy thriller and I was chasing some dudes around!

Sometimes I do wonder whether there is something disconnected up there in my attic. Celine Dion - sheesh.

Seriously, brain?

> None, right now . . . and if I'm lucky, I won't get any here that others have mentioned. Most of my brain worms are songs I truly dislike. The only exception is, like Rozax, when I get a piece of choral music stuck. Since I sing soprano, it is usually the melody.

"Talking to the Moon
Try to get to You"
by Bruno Mars

It plays at work at least twice during my shift and insinuates itself into my brain, but I kinda like it. Hmm, I have Mars as a name in my ancestors, wonder if we're related?

Another one of his that sticks has the line,
"'Cause this ain't Wonderland, it damn sure ain't Narnia"

I am blessed with no musicality, at all. I can not sing a song in my head because I don't remember how it goes... well, except maybe for Row, row, row your boat. In any case, no brain worms in my empty head. Lucky me!

qebo sent me over here, and with one exception, I'm way too old to fall victim to any of your brain worms. On the other hand, I'm here because my head is singing, "LBJ took the IRT down to 4th Street USA...When he got there, what did he see? The youth of America on LSD...LBJ IRT
