As part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival (30 March to 15 April) the National Library of Scotland is running a special exhibition 'It's life Jimmy, but not as we know it' Science fiction in Scotland'.
There is plenty of interesting material there which obviously features Iain Banks but also looks at other Scottish SF authors past and present.
I would point out exhibit 12, a copy of Spectrum SF 9, one of the two professional science fiction magazines published in Scotland (the other being Nebula) as I donated it recently along with all its other issues to the NLS as they did not have it...
