I have noticed more and more people adding this series... I read it in the spring. What do we think?

Whats the plot?

It's very fascinating, the idea is that all of a sudden, everyone age 15 or more disappears. So there are many subplots, but that is the basis.

Sort of like Uglies except everyone becomes and air head at like 12. Or is it 11? Does anyone who read Uglies remember?

16. I believe that 16 was the magical age that you got zapped at.

It's about a commonutiy in the US, somewhere in california, where suddenly on a normal school day, something very weird happens. All the persons considered as 'grown-ups', that is to say everyone from the age of 16 and older, dissapears, seems to evaporate into thin air.
At first, their is wonder, than panic... Of course a leader is needed to hold it all together, and the elder kids are automatically the ones in the run... The kids have to learn to take care of themselves and the others... And unfortunately, being without the all-seeing eye of their parents seems so much fun at first, but soon, events occur and they start regretting it :).
A beautiful story I think, with a lot of interesting 'human' truths...
It was written for kids, but it's really fit for any age!

hope this helped? :)

It is good, but its a hdd series to read. The complex characters and the depth that you need to know them on requires a lot of concentration. I can't read them falling asleep because I just have to re-read in the morning so I can understand. And by the third book, you are like:
" This guy has GOT to stop writing these books." but, still, they are good fun books. Interesting for sure.

My sister just recently read these books, and she REALLY wants me to read them.
