A sad loss. Just watched the latest 'Sky at Night' last night. Patrick Moore

Very sad indeed but such a wonderful legacy. Just glance through a very short list of those who have expressed regret at his death and their comments on how much he influenced them, then imagine the world of science without these people - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20660908

Patrick was a wonderful popularizer of astronomy and related subjects. I was lucky to meet him way back in 1991 while attending the total solar eclipse in Baja California. He was everything I thought a scientist should be. I have several books by Patrick in my library and because he was so prolific a writer, his legacy will live on. Clear skies, Patrick.
