My challenge about reading books whose covers primarily features Easter colors.

This one's not too bad, either. The Easter egg coloring is much more apparent in real life.

eta: I looked at my book again, and the cover on it is the brighter yellow one. I think either one is Easter-egg-y. The bright yellow one is egg yolk-colored, in fact!

@ccookie, I now have Catalyst from the library! When do we begin?

I've been reading through a set of Bible commentaries for a bit over a year now. I think I will get these two done this month:



Nice Eastery colors and Eastery subjects, too!

I started the book last night and have read the first chapter. It is very cute so far. I'm gonna aim for a chapter a day since I have a bunch of others on the go at the same time

(14) Aarrgh! As usual, I have too many irons in the fire books on the bedside table!

I'm currently doing a group read of The Mysterious Affair at Styles and planned on All Quiet on the Western Front next.

@ccookie, I've read more than one book at a time in the past, but maybe I'm getting old...it's not working well for me anymore.

I read several because I can't focus on one topic for any length of time. And I keep notes on the characters etc so that I can remember who is who and what is what!

I actually do better if I alternate styles of reading too, like newspaper, magazine article, books. It's kind of weird. Now I don't get any magazines or the newspaper anymore but having a e-reader certainly helps. One small book sized unit with dozens of books.

I never thought I'd be able to read more than one book at a time, but recently, I've managed to do it occasionally; I'll have one if I'm out and about, and one for bedtime reading. I did get a bit confused, once, when the ambiances of the two I was reading were quite similar.

But I came here to ask if moss green is acceptable as an Easter colour? I'm trying to fit Graceling (a debut novel) into the March TIOLI challenges somewhere.

I see some yellow and pastel green in that cover as well...

#25 - Just repeating here what I said over on the TIOLI main thread, I think that cover fits in just fine, a lot of that green looks like the green of fresh grass.

As much as I think that Ingres's portraits look like dressed-up wax dolls, at least this one's dressed in her best Easter-colored lavender.

Heh heh. Yeah, there is that.

Another "Easter-y" cover for me: More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow by Stephanie O'Dea. Lots of great recipes, and she is really funny.

Here's another one, Throne of the Crescent Moon. Lots of nice white and gold and turquoise, plus some purple. Just ignore the ghuls: they're about to die anyway.

It's a beautiful cover! I wouldn't have noticed the creepy creatures if you hadn't said something. Funny!
