Why is the Review column not available in any of the views when you are not passworded in to a given library? This is useful info that I think should be available to library visitors.

I'm not sure what you mean but I can see other peoples reviews when looking at their catalogues. The trick is to be in a catalogue view that shows the review column when viewing your own library. Then you will see the reviews in other libraries.

It works for me. In my configuration of the column views I have a couple that feature reviews and so my A view gave me the review column when viewing your library. Not sure what the disconnect is for you. Do you have a review column in any of the list views in your library?

I think CWLibrary means that a visitor to her library who is not a member only sees the default column view. I don't think reviews are part of that default view.

edited to add that I just signed out, and went through options A-E default site visitor views. There's a variety of permutations; none of which show the reviews.
Although I have little interest in them myself, others do. I agree that someone encouraging a friend to see their library and join LT may wish them to see the social features like reviews. As well as what date it was entered or it's ISBN.

Maybe worth a re-look at what's in the defaults?

cross post to here http://www.librarything.com/talktopic.php?topic=15137 which is a topic discussing a new UI and potentially a different way of organising the catalog views than the traditional A-E.

I've asked if adding reviews to the options a visitor sees can be scoped into that work.
