skobdoo,
You gave us a broken link. This is the site I found:
http://www.nicholaswhyte.info/100books/nwgbooks.htm
On a quick glance, I found four books that I might like to read from this list.
Mahabharata
Memoirs of Hadrian
Leaves of Grass
The sound of the Mountain
These are books from the list that I haven't read, but kind of pique my interest.

I hadn't seen this particular list before-some very interesting, intelligent choices here. I even found three books I've never read (a rather uncommon occurrence for many readers with these kinds of "best of" lists) and that I plan to search out:
The devil to pay in the backlands by João Guimarães Rosa (Seeing this listed was a timely reminder that I really need to read this since many people feel that Guimarães Rosa was perhaps Brazil's greatest 20th century novelist.)
History: a novel by Elsa Morante (I'm ashamed to admit I've never read this!)
Diary of a madman and other stories by Xun Lu
Thanks to both of you for posting the link!

Marietherese, I am a great fan of Elsa Morante's, and I can heartily recommend House of Liars and Arturo's Island. I found them far better than History: a novel. Actually, House of Liars is my favourite among her books and one of the best books I ever read.

Thank you for the Morante recommendations, aluvalibri! I'm adding these to my wishlist immediately.
