How did it get to be July already? I'm at work giddy with excitement over my impending vacation and big birthday this month! Oh, and this month is also my LTanniversary!
I started You're Next in the wee hours of the morning. Pretty good so far, the story is reminding me a bit of Harlan Coben and Linwood Barclay style wise.

If I can finish Lonesome Dove today, that will be great. I've also started The Scientific Sherlock Holmes, which was nominated for a non-fiction Edgar Award.
6christina_reads
I'm reading The Three Musketeers! I think I'll understand more of it now than I did when I was 12. :)
7cbl_tn
I'm reading Imperfect Harmony and listening to The Last Child. Imperfect Harmony has me thinking nostalgically about my years in high school chorus and madrigals - how much I learned, how much fun it was, and the difference it made in my life.

I'm starting July with a classic Agatha Christie, Murder at the Vicarage which I am loving. I also am reading Talulla Rising by Glen Duncan, the 2nd in his werewolf trilogy, and today I have been glued to the pages of Book Lust by Nancy Pearl.

I have just finished Solaris and have picked up The Septembers of Shiraz for Orange July. As for this month - I will be reading volumes VI and VII of A Dance to the Music of Time (I''m behind as I am waiting for the next books to arrive), Titus Groan for the readalong here and Baltasar and Blimunda for the readalong on the 1001 Group.
I am currently staying at my sister's, so I have a few books with me - She, Summer in Baden Baden, The Knife of Never Letting Go, Making the World Legible, Birds without Wings and Lillian's Story.
In between the reading, I do plan to eat, sleep, do some lesson observations, relearn German, read with my niece and nephew, jump on the trampoline (when they aren't looking!)....!

Also finished the e-book Changeless by Gail Carriger - I should have heeded Eva's advice to have book three in Carriger's series at the ready! Since I didn't, I will be starting The River of No Return by Bee Ridgway this afternoon. I also started reading Andrew Lang's version of The Arabian Nights last night for my Fables and Fairy Tales category..... cannot believe I haven't The Arabian Nights stories before now!

44cbl_tn
>43 rabbitprincess: That one's on my list for next weekend!
45-Eva-
I'm at the end of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, but haven't decided what I think yet since there's a bit of a twist that's been revealed that I didn't really appreciate - I still have an hour and a half left of the audio, though, so it might change. I've also started Laidlaw for the AwardCAT and Doctor Who in Time and Space for the Early Reviewers.
46mamzel

53RidgewayGirl
I'm reading two crime novels, Castle Freeman, Jr.'s All That I Have, which is about a sheriff in rural Vermont who reminds me a little of Longmire, and Nineteen Seventy-Four by David Peace, which is set in Yorkshire and is not only Noir, but relentlessly so.
54cmbohn
I just finished Wet Grave set in New Orleans. It's got murder, a slave revolt, and a hurricane. I'm not sure what I'm going to start next.
55DeltaQueen50
#53 - I'll be looking forward to seeing what you think of Nineteen Seventy-Four, I found it a little too relentless. I have the rest of the quartet on my shelves so will be at least trying the next one.
I am currently reading Walking With Ghosts by John Baker, a British mystery and a favorite series. I am also reading The Hours Before Dawn by Celia Fremlin which is really holding at attention by it's slow but creepy buildup.

I finished The Unbearable Lightness of Being in Aberystwyth last night in work (don't go looking for the review, I haven't written it yet). So tonight I'm going to start on the biography I've chosen. It's something different to either of the two options I'd originally proposed but his recent passing has made me want to find out more about his life. Therefore I've picked up Trautmann's Journey: From Hitler Youth to FA Cup Legend.
58christina_reads
Just started In the Shadow of Gotham by Stefanie Pintoff.
59RidgewayGirl
I've just started The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James for the group read. I'm also reading Mrs. Kimble, which is my first book by Jennifer Haigh. I now see why she's so esteemed; she can write.
