If Kennedy Lived by Jeff Greenfield.
I couldn't believe it when I got the e-mail a few minutes ago. I'm still patiently waiting for the book I won in July, I thought getting books in back-to-back months highly improbably but still happy that it happened.

I'm also thrilled to have won If Kennedy Lived by Jeff Greenfield, a political alternate history.
I read his Kindle single, a political alternate history about what might've happened if Gore had beaten Bush in 2000. Also read his trio of political alternate history novellas, dealing with the 1960s time period.

Won Drama High and am looking forward to reading it, but the one I REALLY wanted was Wonder of Wonders. I'd love to do a trade with someone who got that one (after we've done our reviews, of course :)
12TooBusyReading
I originally requested two, but I decided to put all my eggs in one basket and narrowed my selection to just Manson: The Life and Times of Charles Manson by Jeff Guinn. And I got it! Can't wait to get my hands on this one, although it's going to take me some time to read it. Manson did so much incomprehensible evil that he is hard to read about, but I want to know more about him anyway.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

I'm not particularly surprised to be getting Eknath Easwaran's Essence of the Dhammapada: The Buddha's Call to Nirvana, since I ended up getting his book on the Bhagavad Gita back in the Jan'12 batch!
43JoanieMarshall
I got Einstein's Bridge by John Cramer and its my first book. Will it really take 8 weeks to get here if its an ebook?
46bookwoman247
I won Paperboy by Tony Macaulay! The Troubles in Northern Ireland ae something I'm really interested in, so this novel about a kid growing up in the midst of it should be really interesting. Thanks, LT, the publisher, and Jeremy!
You're leaving Jeremy? It just won't be the same without those cheery e-mails from you to notify me of a win, or those taunting ones to tell me what I didn't manage to snag. I know that LT and the ER program will continue, but we'll miss you.

51saltmanz
Eep! I won Donaldson's The Last Dark but now I'm in a predicament: I've read the first two trilogies, plus the first book of the final quadrilogy, but not the two books between that one and this one (though I own them.) I've long been planning a full-series reread, but maybe I should just do the Last Chronicles for the moment?
53ljbwell
Happy to see I'll be getting I Can Transform You by Maurice Broaddus. Looking forward to it.
54T.Arkenberg

Jeremy's leaving?? I didn't realize that, and I am so sorry to see him go. I *love* Jeremy, in a strictly platonic, LibraryThing, never-met-him kind of way.
Jeremy, I wish you well with whatever you choose to do next. Thank you for all your hard work, for your promptness responding to all our questions, and your kindness and patience when you repeatedly answered the same question yet again.
Best of luck!

I'm thrilled to be getting Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital by Sheri Fink, an investigative study of the events that took place at Memorial Medical Center after it lost power and was isolated due to severe flooding after Hurricaine Katrina struck New Orleans. I would have bought this book even if I hadn't won it, as I lived in NOLA for several years, a few blocks away from Memorial, and two of my cousins worked there in the 1970s, when it was known as Southern Baptist Hospital. Thank you!
61Mary6508

72rastaphrog
I only requested one book The Last Dark, and got it. Like salt back up in #51, I've got a little catching up to do first. Luckily for me it's just the last book, not the previous two.
73kykim
I am getting Manson: The Life and Times of Charles Manson by Jeff Guinn. Look forward to reading this.

My copy of My Name is Dee arrived this morning -
And I added my 'review' of the first 70 pages four days later.
(Why don't I ever win any of the good stuff?)

> 65 Kaulsu:
You were wondering how other LTer's won multiple books from Early Reviewers, and I just stumbled upon a possible answer! On the Early Reviewers FAQ page see the “Sign Up” link below “How can I get books from Early Reviewers?.” Click on that link.
On the new webpage, you’ll see your shipping information for Early Reviewers. Scroll down to the area notated as “Preferences.” There you’ll find an open box next to “I don't mind winning two books from the same batch.” Click on box to check it, then click on the “Submit” live link at the bottom, to update your account.
FYI also: > 44, 71 Misses London
Another thing I noted from your comment was the use of live links for quick referencing to group comments. I followed the links and they don’t take the LTer to the comment in question. Instead, one is taken to LTer Profiles, for user names “44” and “18”! Try instead to click on the "Reply" button in the comment you'd like to reply to.
Hope this helps!

I forgot to say "THANKS, LT!," as I won Midnight Lies by Ella Grace. It has been received and I'm half-way through the book!

Thanks!! I do remember, now that you mention it, that there is a way of saying you can take more than one book a month...but I also remember why I didn't choose it. I always have such a backlog of books to read, and feel obligated to drop everything to read the LT selections, that I thought I'd just be shooting myself in the foot.
But when it comes to the "live links" I have no idea what you mean. Yes, techno wizard is not on my resume.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to finding out if I get anything for September!!
Happy reading,
Kaulsu (Sue)
