I read this book a long time ago and vaguely remember it. It is historical fantasy, a retelling of the Trojan War story from Cassandra's point of view. It may have had a feminist slant, and I'm pretty sure the author was a woman. A lot was made of how no one believed Cassandra. Any ideas?

The Firebrand by Marion Zimmer Bradley is a retelling from Cassandra's POV.

That's it! I thought it might be Marion Zimmer Bradley but wasn't sure. Thanks for the quick reply.

Pleased it was the right one. I'm sure there must be other retellings from Cassandra's viewpoint.

I know this problem has now been solved, but anyone interested in reading a reworking of the story of Cassandra might like to try Hilary Bailey's Cassandra princess of Troy: http://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/cassandra-9781448209286/
