No title, no other information in the details.
I've deleted some if it looked like they were trying to duplicate something that was already there, I didn't realize that it was a widespread problem.
I suspect a bad feed from somewhere, probably it's really a feed bug, not a LT bug, but folks are complaining:

Did some research:
http://www.librarything.com/venue/27077/George-Mason-University-Fairfax has them
http://www.librarything.com/venue/3193/University-Bookstore has them
http://www.librarything.com/venue/83859/Ritz-Carlton-Half-Moon-Bay has them
http://www.librarything.com/venue/81017/Santaluz-Club has them
http://www.librarything.com/local_add_v2.php?event=673001 is from randomhouse
http://www.librarything.com/venue/3578/Warwicks has them
http://www.librarything.com/venue/1948/Tattered-Cover-Book-Store-Colfax-Avenue-D... has them
Some of them are as far as 1 year in the future, so this will continue to annoy people

What I take as the title of the event is listed as the venue. No person is given credit for adding, so it is coming in via some feed.

Also discussed here.

I was about to post a topic and decided to search first. There's a bunch showing up in my events list as well.

Thanks. Fixed. Simon and Schuster changed their format. It's been updated.

These are increasingly coming up (still? again?), including duplications of the same event on the same date, only next year. And, when deleted, they return within 24 hours. What gives?

Just from places near me:
*This venue has a blank event this Sunday that won't stay dead. And a little subsidiary zombie in 2018.
* Ditto for here next Tuesday.
* And here and here on Wednesday.
* This one managed to avoid them in the immediate future, but has a blank on November 9th 2015/2018 (and a one-off blank in May '18).
* This place has several strings of blank-ness starting this July.
I could keep going. (Edited for stray line break.)

There is an event at that time this year. http://www.bklynlibrary.org/calendar/joseph-califano-jr-lyndon-central-library-d... but somehow I doubt that it recurs every year.
12AnnaClaire
The blankness of a valid event isn't the big problem here. I'd be less annoyed with the truly one-off blankdoms, if most of the events properly translated themselves. It's the whole repeater business that gets me, and that the recurrances often won't stay gone.

Another example, spotted June 24. Venues are in metro Birmingham, Ala., US.

BUMP. What, if anything, can we do to fix these? You say Simon & Schuster changed its feed. Did Random House? FSG? And ... and ... and? I've now proposed deletion multiple times of the numerous, substantially the same "untitled events" with only time & date (some extending 15 months out -- nothing else scheduled that far in advance gets a notice on LT Local). I seriously doubt it's the venues causing the problem; most venues in our town don't list their own events, much less trouble to list untitled ones. And, if it's just me wanting to see substance instead of nuthin', I can't figure out how to filter them out of my own LT Local feed. Does somebody at least understand what's causing them? Is there anything we, as LT Members, can do to assist? Thanks!
16Muscogulus
As a consequence of this continuing bug, there are no "real" local events in my feed, and I am out of the habit of checking Local. I would guess that fewer events are being submitted as well.

Okay, this should be fixed. All old ones are removed. I believe there's a step in place to prevent it in the future.
