Oh yes, paruline. I got through sixty works on it last year alone. Other projects are making it unlikely that I'll match the number this year, but I've still made my way through a fair number.

As the touchstones aren't loading on the huge main post and I really want them to work, I'm going to be doing some fiddling by year. Don't mind me.

What did you think of O'Brien's At Swim, Two Birds? That's one I've been planning to get ahold of for a while.
14Korrick
13> I liked it, but so many of the references went over my head that I didn't enjoy it as much as I did O'Brien's 'The Third Policeman'. I have a review for it up on LT if you want a more in-depth summation of my thoughts.
15annamorphic
Agree, The Third Policeman is his best. Also The Dalkey Archive which is not on the list.

>8 Korrick: Welcome! Looks like you've got quite a start on the 1001 lists. And I noticed that you've read (and loved) a book that no one else in the group has read yet -- The Book of Disquiet.
19Korrick
Thank you for the welcome, Eliz. As for 'The Book of Disquiet', I had noticed the group thread, but was unsure whether this challenge was a 'read whenever' sort of thing, or if each book had to be read between the start of the challenge and today. If the former is the case, I'll gladly put my name in for having read TBoD.
20japaul22
I'd say if it's crossed off your list, it can be crossed off the group list. Come on over and join in the fun!

If you're on a Scandinavian kick, make sure to read Alberta and Jacob by Cora Sandel. An amazing evocation of life above the arctic circle. It made me want to visit but NEVER live there.
