I used the semi-reliable Wikipedia for the following information. I'll try to stick to the facts. I get the impression that he's trying to be a libertarian, i.e. socially liberal and economically conservative.

Michael Bloomberg.
• Founder, current CEO, and owner of Bloomberg L.P., the global financial data and media company.
• Former mayor of New York.
• A Democrat for most of his life, then switched to Republican when he ran for mayor in 2001.
• Net worth $41 billion, much more than Trump, making him the 7th-richest person in the US and the 13th-wealthiest in the world.
• Born in Boston, Jewish, Russian descent, Eagle Scout, frat guy Phi Kappa Psi, BS Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins, MBA from Harvard.
• In favor of abortion rights, same-sex marriage, strict gun control, citizenship for illegal immigrants, government funding of stem-cell research, efforts to reduce greenhouse gasses to affect climate change.
• "began a pilot program which allows girls over 14 years old to be provided with Plan B emergency contraception without parental consent, unless parents opt out in writing.
• Attempted to ban the sale of soft drinks and other sugary drinks
• Smoking ban, trans-fat ban
• Supports Patriot Act
• Supports increases in security and surveillance to fight terrorism
• Raised property taxes.
• Supports tax breaks for large corporations
• Supported Iraq war
• "It's America's responsibility to protect people around the world who want to be free."
• Endorsed G.W. Bush

Where is the libertarian in that list?

I get the impression he's trying to protect his wealth. As is--things are going wonderfully well for him. Next year he'll be worth $44 billion. Why change anything at all?

The best things Mr Bloomberg did in NYC was to plant a lot of trees and to create no-car zones in the middle of Manhattan. In contrast to the bully who preceded him (Don Giuliani), he was a breath of fresh air.

On the negative side:

He bought his way out of term limits. His subsequent third term was a disaster.
He favored developers at the expense of neighborhoods.

The one where you attempt to redefine a word?

Which word is that?

The word libertarian obviously.

Obviously? Social liberalism, economic conservatism. That's shorthand, of course, but accurate. I'm not redefining anything.

Actually, my shorthand for libertarianism is Pot, Profit, and Prostitution. And maybe Porn and Pro-choice, But if I said that, though it's accurate, people might think I'm being flippant just so I can use alliteration.

Well, except that isn't an accurate shorthand for libertarianism.

From your post, for example, none of the things I have italicized are "libertarian":

"In favor of abortion rights, same-sex marriage, strict gun control, citizenship for illegal immigrants, government funding of stem-cell research, efforts to reduce greenhouse gasses to affect climate change.
began a pilot program which allows girls over 14 years old to be provided with Plan B emergency contraception without parental consent, unless parents opt out in writing.
Attempted to ban the sale of soft drinks and other sugary drinks
Smoking ban, trans-fat ban

Supports increases in security and surveillance to fight terrorism"

I'm not a fan of libertarianism, but it doesn't mean what you seem to think it means.

Libertarians believe that everything should be done through the free market and there should be no gov't. I'm not quite sure how it differs from anarchism actually.

Raised property taxes.

Supported Iraq war
