Well, it's hard to suggest without knowing more about your likes and dislikes.
If you like historic fiction, you might check out Ann Rinaldi's books. I especially liked Time Enough for Drums.
If you like fantasy and science fiction, try Madeleine L'Engle. She wrote A Wrinkle in Time, which a lot of people know, but she also wrote several others. My favorite is A Swiftly Tilting Planet.
If you like romance, you might consider Portrait of Jennie by Robert Nathan. I read this about your age and loved it. Still love it.
If you like horror, you're out of luck. I won't read it and have no real suggestions!! :-)

Thank you very Much

Of course, there's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanne Clarke, but that's quite a commitment.

You might pick up some hints from the group FantasyFans. There are groups where various other genres are discussed, too: look around a bit.

I LOVE Patricia Wrede! Her books about Princess Cimorene are awesome. It is nice to find a girl main character who isn't boy-obsessed or worried about what other people think. (I wish I had been that way when I was a teenager.) And the magic is cool.

You might also like the Read YA Lit group--we had a group discussion of The Hollow Kingdom just last month!
